# Pallet Rack & Warehouse Storage in Freer, TX

Freer is a Duval County town where US-59, SH-16, SH-44 and SH-339 meet. US-59 forms the planned I-69W route east from Laredo. For an oilfield trucking or supply operation, warehouse racking must account for tubulars, palletized parts and the route between yard receipt and dispatch.

We plan cantilever support for long material and heavy-duty selective rack for suitable pallet loads. Both systems need measured handling access. A storage drawing should show the moving load, not only the steel standing at rest.

## Tubular handling sets the storage face

Start with the minimum and maximum lengths, bundle weights and lifting method. Cantilever arms are spaced to support the intended stock. The complete column arrangement must fit the loads assigned to its levels, and the operator needs a clear way to identify each material group.

Pipe can project beyond the forklift’s normal pallet envelope. We trace the approach and withdrawal with the longest load before setting row orientation. Short pieces should not become hidden behind full-length bundles simply because both materials arrived in the same yard.

## Palletized parts alongside N. Highway 59 operations

Oilfield-service and trucking operations are based along N. Highway 59. The surrounding Duval County fields have produced oil and gas for decades. For the parts supporting that work, tell us which loads are palletized and which packages are retrieved individually.

Selective rack can give direct access to separate parts groups. Specify the heaviest anticipated pallet, loaded height and footprint, including packaging overhang. Beam capacity must be assessed for the intended span and loading; frame configuration and level positions are reviewed with it.

## Road connections do not replace the inventory count

The four highway connections describe Freer’s corridor position, but they do not establish how much stock your operation needs. We use your pallets per group, bundle quantities and retrieval frequency to decide the storage mix. A repeating rack row should not be extended on the strength of an assumed traffic increase.

Where trucks unload into a shared yard, show where material is checked and where it waits before putaway. Keep that temporary state distinct from assigned inventory. The storage face needs a working approach even when another load is being received.

## A move from yard storage to a parts building

If the storage task changes, record the new handling unit rather than carry forward old dimensions automatically. A part formerly held in a bundle might now arrive on a pallet; the appropriate support and retrieval method change with it. Clear height and forklift reach define the usable indoor levels.

Installation components need an agreed unloading point and work zone. During a warehouse relocation, the destination row orientation is checked against doors, staging and turning paths. We discuss which stock can move first and what new material is required for the revised arrangement, without assuming that every existing storage task transfers unchanged.

A clear material list should name both its storage group and retrieval unit. That keeps bundled tubulars, complete pallets and individual parts distinct when the yard changes from receiving work to outbound preparation.

## Warehouse Racking Questions

Can Freer tubulars and palletized supplies use the same aisle?

They may share a route only if it accommodates both handling envelopes. A pipe bundle often needs a different turn from a pallet. We review the largest carried load and the retrieval sequence before deciding whether separate approaches are needed.

What determines a heavy-duty selective rack specification?

The actual pallet weight, footprint, beam span and level arrangement determine the configuration. Give us the forklift reach and working aisle requirement as well. A description such as heavy parts is not enough to establish rated positions or usable storage height.

How should an N. Highway 59 yard start a layout review?

Sketch unloading, temporary holding, long-material storage and parts retrieval. Add the truck and forklift movement paths. Then list the loads assigned to each group. This connects the rack choice with the actual operation instead of treating the corridor address as an inventory forecast.

## Put a rack layout behind your next move.

Share pallet sizes, load weights and forklift details. Tell us the clear height. Let’s plan the storage around your operation.
